02.27.2010 | Pine State Biscuits

For our first outing, I would like to introduce you to none other than Pine State Biscuits - there will be a wait, but it will be worth it.

Pine State Biscuits launched their kitchen at the bustling Portland Farmers Market in spring of 2006. Word caught on about the outdoor baking operation and in early 2008, Walt, Kevin, and Brian opened up a small biscuit shop on Belmont Ave. where folks can enjoy a wholesome breakfast or lunch 6 days a week, rain or shine.

My personal favorite is the egg and cheese, but there are choices to satisfy any taste (Matty once ordered 'The Moneyball' and lived to tell about it).

Also, if you can stand the intensity of Guy Fieri, watch the feature from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

  2. My brother (Jon) who is a Psychiatrist once had a patient who was being admitted because he was hearing voices in his head. As Jon was leaving he asked, "Is there anything else you want to tell me?" The patient looked up at him and said, "Dr., all I ask is that you provide me with the best breakfasts." Truer words have never been spoken. Let us remember what is important and provide ourselves with the best breakfasts.
